London officials learn of a plan by Nazis to create new, more destructive missiles during World War II. Working quickly to stop the potentially catastrophic movement, the prime minister calls for an immediate investigation. Three experts (George Peppard, Jeremy Kemp, Tom Courtenay) are instructed to enter Germany and inspect a plant that is believed to hold the explosives. In 1918 a simple Mongol herdsman escapes to the hills after brawling with a western capitalist fur trader who cheats him. However he is captured when the army tries to requisition cattle from the herdsmen at the same time as the commandant meets with the reincarnated Grand Lama. After being shot, the army discovers an amulet that suggests he was a direct descendant of Genghis Khan.
