Typo. Should have read “One wile ride”
On wild ride, to be sure. For this, his final theatrical feature, Chayefsky was said to have had the kind of authorial control normally reserved for playwright titans of the stage — something Russell must have chafed at. [I’ve seen the shooting script, which is replete with copious, added Chayefsky notes and directions, shoehorned in everywhere.!] But this exerted no apparent constraining of Russell’s Way Out There style.
Thanks very much for this enhanced HD copy (with commentary) . . . and please ignore anyone who might complain about higher-GB file sizes: these are most welcome, whenever it pays off with better resolution etc.
