Synopsis
The internationally acclaimed director and recipient of the Erasmus Award in 2007, Péter
Forgács created a documentary exploring the fate of hundred thousands of Hungarian
men and women who arrived to the United States between 1890 and 1921. To tell their
sagas Forgács weaved this grand epic from the early American cinema, found footage,

A 1982 courtroom drama film which tells the story of a down-on-his-luck alcoholic lawyer who pushes a medical malpractice case in order to improve his own situation, but discovers along the way that he is doing the right thing. Since the lawsuit involves a woman in a persistent vegetative state, the movie is cast in the shadow of the Karen Ann Quinlan case. Synopsis:
“Mountain-film” specialist Luis Trenker plies his trade with his usual expertise in the Austrian Velorene Sohn (Prodigal Son). In the end, however, he realizes that his heart is still in the Tyrol and thus returns to the arms of his hometown sweetheart.
