    Incest: A Family Tragedy
The interview with the director, Edward Blackoff.

    HISTORY: Director’s Narrative:
Barraged with a daily onslaught of media alarm over a growing army of child sexual molesters who were raping, kidnapping, and murdering children, I decided to do something to help prevent these attacks on our kids. I began with the premise that if I could find several pedophiles who would agree to be interviewed on camera and show their faces, these same molesters could be the key to teach parents how to better protect their children from these same predators.

I ran into dead end after dead end in my search to find “hero” rapists but what I began to learn was that my premise insofar as child molestation was quantitatively misguided.
The main origin of child abuse was not some stranger but was actually family members and trusted family friends.Read More »

    Various excerpts:
“Cry-Baby is a 1990 American teen musical film written and directed by John Waters. It stars Johnny Depp as 1950s teen rebel “Cry-Baby” Wade Walker, and also features a large ensemble cast that includes Amy Locane, Iggy Pop, Traci Lords, Ricki Lake, Kim McGuire, David Nelson, Susan Tyrrell, and Patty Hearst. The film did not achieve high audience numbers in its initial release, but has subsequently become a cult classic and spawned a Broadway musical of the same name which was nominated for four Tony Awards.

The film is a parody of teen musicals (particularly Grease) and centers on a group of delinquents that refer to themselves as “drapes” and their interaction with the rest of the town and its other subculture, the “squares”, in 1950s Baltimore, Maryland. “Cry-Baby” Walker, a drape, and Allison, a square, create upheaval and turmoil in their little town of Baltimore by breaking the subculture taboos and falling in love. The film shows what the young couple has to overcome to be together and how their actions affect the rest of the town.Read More »

  • Roy Stuart – Glimpse 2 (1990 – 2008)

    Quote:
American photographer Roy Stuart has carved out a most interesting niche for himself in Paris, creating elaborate erotic scenes for his two excellent books for the German publisher Taschen and the American magazine Leg Show.
In addition, Stuart captures these photoshoots on videotape for a series he calls New Glimpse. At $120 each these tapes are not cheap. But weighing in at 2.5 hours each, they are something special, marathon-length demonstrations that Stuart is a true master of the masturbatory male vignette. He has the talent and vision to take all the familiar elements and make them original and arousing.Read More »

Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against the West, also called Obsession, is a 2005 American documentary movie about Islamist teachings and goals that uses extensive Arab and Iranian television footage. It compares the threat of Islamism with that of Nazism before World War II. It is the sequel to the documentary Relentless:The Struggle for Peace in Israel.

Obsession examines the origins of contemporary radical Islam and traces it back to the alliance between Islamists and the Nazi Party during World War II, specifically the relationship of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem with Adolf Hitler as an inspiration for radical Islamic movements in the Middle East today.Read More »

  • Jonas Middleton – Through The Looking Glass (1976)

Without question one of the true classics of hardcore, Through the Looking Glass is yet another perfect example (like Café Flesh or even Thundercrack) of how porn can be used to craft and/or embellish a film so it works as erotica as well as a legitimate movie. Also released in a highly successful ‘R’ rated version, without the hardcore sex, “Glass” is a genuinely engaging and nightmarish supernatural/possession story with some superbly crafted sequences. The film is just alive with decadence and taboo, eroticism and depravity.

The effective music score, of harpsichord ditties and female harmonies, is co-credited to Harry Manfredini of all people, who would go on to do the classic Friday the 13th score. And this period sounding music works perfectly in highlighting the decadence of the movie…one of the most powerful and unusual hardcore films ever to be produced, and as such is nothing less but essential viewing for any fan of Exploitation, and extreme Underground cinema.” – Beardyfreak.comRead More »

Review from the Criterion website :
Stanley Kubrick directed a cast of screen legends—including Kirk Douglas as the indomitable gladiator that led a Roman slave revolt—in the sweeping epic that defined a genre and ushered in a new Hollywood era. The assured acting, lush Technicolor cinematography, bold costumes, and visceral fight sequences won Spartacus four Oscars; the blend of politics and sexual suggestion scandalized audiences. Today Kubrick’s controversial classic, the first film to openly defy Hollywood’s blacklist, remains a landmark of cinematic artistry and history.Read More »

    Plot Outline :
With Cocksucker Blues, Frank bids a final adieu to the utopia of the Beat generation. What did the Rolling Stones expect when they hired him to make a film about their 1972 North American tour? There are scenes of groupie sex in private jets, cocaine snorting, and even a masturbation scene in which Jagger reveals himself to be the cameraman in a reflected image.

But ultimately Frank focuses on the lonely spaces that permeate the rock and roll machine. This is the ultimate direct cinema. The camera movement infects the images with an unbelievable filmic energy, and Frank ignores all orientation guidelines. Populated by the living dead, Cocksucker Blues is a zombie film with no refuge.Read More »
