How are the EN subs on this copy. ? In prior years I downloaded a reasonably good resolution copy of this film, but people had complained that the subs were not so good. Then someone else online suggested an alternate subs file that was said to be much preferable, which I also downloaded. My intention was to do a subs swap, checking also that the timings still lined up properly. But I never got around to doing that. I recall seeing this film in a theater, around the time it first made its way to the U.S. Foreign language films turned up there a lot more often in those days — at least in some major cities.
