Jesus Franco & Lina Romay – Una Rajita Para Dos AKA A Crack For Two (1984)

Yet another hardcore film co-directed by Jess Franco and Lina Romay[Lulu LaVerne] As usual with a Franco hardcore picture, this film doesn’t go for anything sexual but instead it throws countless sex scenes into a bizarre story. The story centers around a government agent who is following a spy (Romay) who puts some sort of secret chip up women’s butts in order to carry out only God knows what. I had to view this film in Spanish without any subtitles so I’m not exactly sure what the chips were being used for but it doesn’t appear that there was too much to the story since the majority of the 83-minute running time centers on the sex scenes. For the most part these scenes are poorly shot and you can tell that the director was working on a very low budget. Read More » -
Gianfranco Mingozzi – Il frullo del passero AKA The Sparrow’s Fluttering (1988)
Drama1981-1990EroticaGianfranco MingozziItalyOfficial announce:
Young and beautiful Silvana (Ornella Muti) has reached an impasse in her life after the
death of her lover. She is approached by a friend of the deceased, Gabriele (Philippe
Noiret), who proposes to keep her in luxury at his manor house, as long as she will keep
him company and listen to his stories of past love affairs. Initially, Silvana is not attracted
to the older man, and only reluctantly, and in stages, accepts his strange offer. What
follows is a very different tale of seduction and awakening for Silvana, as Gabriele’s tales
impress themselves upon her, and even in a way enter her own life. As much of the film
rests on the verbal stories that Gabriele tell Silvana, a real understanding and
appreciation of the film is of course not possible (for me personally) without an English
translation of the dialogue. However, Muti and Noiret are wonderful to watch, and the film
as such looks good (as photographed by Luigi Verga).Read More » -

Quote:
The setting for this off-beat drama of love and jealousy is the Pushkin Poetry Festival in Boldino. Liosha (Oleg Yankovsky) and his wife Tania (Tatiana Drubich) are walking through the plush forest around Boldino when a mysterious figure pops up from behind a tree and asks the couple a question on an esoteric point of Pushkin scholarship. From that strange beginning, the man, whose name is Klimov (Alexander Abdulov), starts to ease himself into the couple’s private space, and trouble ensues. Complementing this story is the festival itself, enactments of Pushkin’s works, and emotional debates among the festival-goers over the meaning of his poetry.Read More » -
