Initially, Claude’s father hopes his son will take over the fur shop, but he later gives in to Claude’s desire to become involved in filmmaking and even pursues a late-blooming career move as a thespian himself. Alain Cohen portrays the younger Claude who must set a good example for his young sister. Henia Ziv plays the stereotypical Jewish mother who holds the family together.

Cambrai, a modest captain in the French secret service, discovers that his superior, Colonel Toulouse, was responsible for the death of his rival Milan.
