Pari and her aging husband leave Iran for the first time in order to visit their son Babak, who is studying in Greece. But when they arrive in Athens, Babak is nowhere to be found. Strangers in an unknown country, the two search for their son, but every clue leads to a dead end. Soon their only option is to return to Iran. But Pari doesn’t give up and continues searching for her son in the darkest corners of Athens. By navigating an alien, intimidating environment, she is also forced to look into herself. There, she will find deeply buried truths and become a new person. The film premiered at the 70th Berlinale.
