Synopsis:

A woman is walking alone through an abandoned city. She approaches the forbidden zone and tries to pass through. Everywhere the Morning Patrol and deceptive traps are watching. Synopsis

A bizarre, but compelling, look at the human animal, exploring different ways in which grief can be dealt with, and also exploited, Kala Azar isn’t entirely successful, but it’s definitely another film that feels very much like a Greek success story coming along in the wake of the films of Yorgos Lanthimos.

Plot:
Athens, 1936. A German woman named Isavella, who is married to a Greek officer in the close circle around Dictator Metaxas and who is a member of a group of mysticists, falls in love with Alvertos. The latter is a blond Jewish adolescent who delivers ice. Their relationship is iheady, but it stumbles on problems of race, class and age. After their union, Alvertos disappears, and Isabella tries to bring him back with magic. She manages to succeed, but Alvertos is now a soulless person who no longer satisfies her. Overwhelmed by her passion for love, Isabella takes her own life and is reborn into a situation which brings her close to her beloved once again.

Singapore Sling is friendless, homeless and always broke; he is always chasing after lost causes, in particular a woman named Laura, a romantic memory from his past. One lonely night in his meandering search, he finds himself in a mysterious villa, watching two women bury a body.
