Synopsis
One evening, an attractive middle-class woman, France, is pushed out of her car by her irate husband. When her husband drives off, she insists on waiting by the side of the road, certain that he will return once he has cooled off. Whilst waiting, she meets Charles, a man of her own age, who has been struggling for the past two days to repair his car. Although initially frosty towards her, Charles finds himself drawn to France and tries to convince her that her husband has abandoned her for good. France cannot accept this and clings to the faint hope that her husband still loves her…

Une aire de repos sur l’autoroute du Sud en hiver. Un homme demonte le moteur de sa voiture. Un peu plus loin une femme reste la, abandonnee par son mari. L’homme qui repare son auto a tout vu. Il veut tout comprendre, son moteur qu’il etale piece par piece sur le bitume, cette femme qui refuse de partir, malgre le froid, malgre la nuit, attendant l’improbable retour de son mari perdu…

n a street called Blue in a very poor neighborhood in Paris, Monsieur Ibrahim (Omar Shariff) is an old Muslin Turkish owner of a small market. He becomes friend of the teenager Jewish Moises, tenderly nicknamed Momo (Pierre Boulanger), who lives with his father in a small apartment on the other side of the street. Monsieur Ibrahim gives paternal love and teaches the knowledge of the Koran to the boy, receiving in return love and respect.
