A pair of lovers rob a train for money but accidentally cause leakage of a tanker that is transporting highly toxic material, and break through the ozone layer. A boy stays in home because of illness finds suddenly that he can understand the white cat’s language. And the cat tells him that the severe accident without ending will cause extinction of all lives on earth. But all adults are busy making money and living, no one wants to listen the boy and his animal’s words. So the boy has to organize animals with him to finds the source of pollution and save the whole world.

Synopsis:
The film tells the story of a grounded American pilot during the Second World War who learns about the noble spirit of the Chinese poeple when he is rescued by the communist-led Chinese army after an emergency landing near the Great Wall. On the way to the Communist base, the pilot falls in love with a girl soldier whose lingering memory of being raped by the Japanese makes her a determined fighter. Half a century later, the American pilot returns to the Yellow River to pay his respects to the native people who rescued him.

Feng Xiaoning directs this WWII epic. American pilot Owen Paul Kersey) crashes on a mountain behind enemy lines and is discovered by Chinese guerrillas. They nurse him back to health, and eventually he falls in love with the fierce An Jie (Ning Jing). Soon the two lovers are battling the Japanese troops. This film was the official Chinese submission for the 2000 Academy Awards.

The film has won the following Golden Rooster Awards in 1999: Special Awards, Best Actress, Best Music, Best Stunts & Artistic Work.

Synopsis
Very much a celebration of Chinese solidarity in the face of the return of Hong Kong to their control, this costume drama begins at the turn of the century as a virginal Chinese girl flees via a raging river from being sacrificed in a religious ceremony. When she emerges, she is in Tibet where she becomes part of a local community. At the same time, a Scottish explorer and his British interpreter enter the same area and are saved from execution by a Tibetan horseman who takes them back to his tribe. Following the Scotsman’s departure, the interpreter (who decides he prefers village life to that of his fellow colonialists) begins falling for the beautiful daughter of the headman, but she wants the horseman. Unfortunately, he is interested in the Chinese girl.
