The impetus for this was vague childhood memories associated with emotions, as well as the identification of his identity with certain images at that period. He is facing an internal conflict, tearing him apart, between creativity and reality that are not compatible with each other.

Biographical motifs, reminiscences of childhood, which for the protagonist (Kafka’s prototype) became the beginning of a tragic path to self-discovery, the discord between the artist’s personality and reality, and the tortuous search for the self ultimately create a collective image of the artist, who risks to challenge ordinary life.
