German romantic comedy set in Munich, featuring Christoph Waltz in one of his early leading roles.

SUMMARY
A comedy centering on the lives of eight Germans who long for sexual excitement. Depressed writer Charly borrows his father’s flashy new car for the day and gets himself involved with two women: staid Cornelia and the younger, more vivacious Hilde. Meanwhile, Charly’s ex-lover Manuela falls for Sven, a man with a baby stroller in the local shopping mall. However, as fate has it, the baby turns out not to be Sven’s but rather it is Manuela’s, who originally left the baby with sitter Birgit. Birgit in turn left the baby with Sven so that she could look for a man with Sven’s gym pass, but instead meets Jimmy, a gay man who needs Birgit to be his “beard” date at a mambo party where he hopes to romance the host, Peter.

Sophia Magdalena Scholl (May 9, 1921 – February 22, 1943) was a prominent member of the White Rose non-violent resistance movement in Nazi Germany. She was convicted of treason after having been found distributing anti-war leaflets at the University of Munich with her brother Hans. As a result, they were both executed by guillotine.

Since the 1970s, Scholl has been celebrated as one of the great German heroes who actively opposed the Third Reich during the Second World War.
