Based on a high-profile murder case in France. This is a great adaptation (Auteuil really delivers a remarkable performance here) of E. Carrère’s novel “L’Adversaire” which is an intense terrific read and happens to be one of my favourite true crime books (def better than In Cold Blood). The protagonist Romand was released 5 years ago, he spent 26 years behind bars and lives in a monastery nowadays afaik.
