I think the subtitles you linked to are for the version of the film that was drastically edited and shown on French television in 1980, as part of a series entitled “Grandmothers” (Grand-mères). The particular episode was entitled “Odette Robert.” The version hosted here is from a version first shown long after Eustache’s death, at the Rotterdam Film Festival in 2003. Pedro Costa and Jean Marie Straub were responsible for exhuming the complete (or at least longer) version, which was never shown during Eustache’s life.
